It's obvious that hyde's mood is shifting from stable to active in 2003. He plans to release his new single in this spring, and he joins the tour of ken's SOAP in May. Further more, the film which stars with gackt will be shown in the cinema very soon, . . etc, etc.

Q: The year 2002, What sort of year was it for you ? You've released your first solo album and also you took a part in a film.

HYDE: Yeah, compare with the year 2001, I was more working outside than working inside last year. The album was done the early year of 2002 so I've done some promotion for the album after that. .. Then I went for the place for ski, and then I went to Taiwan...

Q: I've known the 2 of what you have done ... (laugh).. what you've done in the place for ski ?

H: Snow boarding. I really wanted to do because I couldn't do it in 2001. I had to go there no matter what. I went for snow boarding while I was doing my promotion, (laugh) and after the promotion.

Q: Because you were too much concentrating on your work and stayed in your room all day in 2001 ?

H: I think so... I've had a lot of alcohol too as I hadn't really gone out for a drink in that year.

Q: Really !?

H: I wanted to finish my work as soon as possible. At first, I thought it would have taken for half a year, but actually it's taken a whole year to finish my work.. so I wanted to go out as much as I could with the persons who asked me to go out.

Q: Have you encountered or experienced something new then ?

H: Not particularly... Ah ! Something new for me was ... Darts !? (everybody laughed) I'm not a person who inspired by that sort of things ... I rather think about the past when I write songs.

Q: After you'd done the promotions of your album, haven't you written any songs ?

H: Ah.... I've just started to write songs last autumn.. I had a lot of things to do so I didn't have a time to concentrate on making songs. Since August last year, I've been in Taiwan most of the time..

Q: Have you ever imagined that you'd take a part in a film ?

H: No. I still can't imagine that I will be appear in the cinema screen even now. (laugh)

Q: What made you to act in a film then ?

H: mmm... I forgot..... er.. You know Gackt kun, right ? I call him Gatchan, I heard that he wanted to go out to eat something with me from my friend.

Q: Haven't you had a connection with him before?

H: mmm... When he was in Malice Miser, he came to see me at the backstage room, and we had a chat when we met on tv shoot but we haven't talk any other occasion. I was interested in him so I went out with him. Then, he asked me if I'd like to take a role in the film. I'm quite reserved person, I don't have much relationship with others. I wasn't really interested in expanding other ability of mine either except designing, but that time, when he asked me that, I thought, 'That sounds exciting!' (everybody laugh) I had never had a intention to be in a film, but as I was listening to him, I began to think, 'Oh, I will be taking this role....' Though I didn't say 'Yes' to him. The role was exactly what I was in my mind if I was in a film. And the story was also good. However,.... I don't know the main reason why I accepted. I confirmed with everyone, asking, 'Me, as an actor in the film... Are you serious ? Don't you misunderstand something what I am ?' (everyone laugh) I confirmed that so many times with Gatchan and the film producers. I emphasized that it must have been a mistake. I was so worried about it so I asked for a test shoot before filming. Even I asked, once the test shoot was done with Gatchan and me in the same picture, decide whether I was suitable or not.

Q: Whahahaha!!

H: I wanted to see how I look with other actors, too. Actually, I didn't look too bad than I had imagined. .. I thought I would be taking this role, but it took long times to commit myself, to say 'yes'.

Hyde still has a good relationship with Gackt. The similarity with them is only both of them don't have many musician friends. Hyde described Gackt had good leadership skills, and is an inventor. He's always doing things without sleeping, unlike Hyde, who loves to sleep when he has time.

His plan for 2003 is to release a new single this spring and to play live. He'd like to play something loud, not like the songs in Roentgen. So, the new song will be totally in different style. He joins the tour with SOAP in Apr/May that was planned last year when hyde had a drink with SOAP. He wanted to play in small venues but it turned to be a tour in fairly big places. He won't play the songs in Roentgen, will only play new songs. (He has to write songs for the tour...) There's a rumour that hyde/SOAP will play together on stage...(I mean.. not play indivisually as HYDE and SOAP), Hyde didn't deny that rumour..

Will it be a new album ? yes, it will be out in this summer. (He wasn't sure exactly when. ) And he says that he wants to hold a tour after releasing the album.
