The destiny and the future

Q: What was the most memorable during the film shoot?

HYDE: I have a lot of memories... The thing I impressed the most was Chiaki practising “The Cape of Storms” by piano during the shooting. That is my song! I was so pleased with it.

Q: Did you teach her?

HYDE: Like, “The cord is wrong.”? No, I didn't! (laugh)

Q: I'm sorry that I asked such a question. (laugh)

HYDE: But for the phrase (key) she missed to play, I pressed using the side of the keyboard. I thought it might be enjoyable when it harmonised.
The film was taken a half in London and the other half in Tokyo. I felt it was very different. I felt like I'm on holiday while I was in London. (laugh)

Q: The scene when they were happy, right?

HYDE: Yes, yes, yes. Then my role was a musician so I thought it was better to play natural but it got more like real work after coming back to Japan. It was freezing, as well. (laugh) Although it became more serious work, I enjoyed it. Even after my entire scene was shot, I was always wondering what they were shooting. I wanted to watch it, but I couldn't. (laugh)

Q: What about you, Narimiya san?

Q: I thought the keyword of the film was “Destiny”. What are your thoughts about “Destiny”?

Hiroki: I like supernatural so I believe something including ghosts and UFOs.

Q: Since when you believe that?

Hiroki: I like it since I was a kid. I'm so busy these days so that I don't think about it often any more. (laugh) I dream of there is a woman of my destiny. She might be somewhere in the world. I don't realise that time but when I look back on the past, I believe some incidents were happened by my destinies.

HYDE: Maybe someone meet or choose something by destiny but I think all the things are fixed already. What I choose is already fixed… Yes, I'm a boring person. (laugh)

Hiroki: (Laugh) In some ways, I agree with you. Everything happens to us are our fate.

HYDE: Everyone walks on his or her way, that's all fixed.

Hiroki: I can little bit relaxed if I think that way. I don't need to be in hurry and work too hard.

HYDE: I can see my way to go clearly from future but I can't see it now… umm, how can I say? I have to choose the way by myself. If I could go to the future, I would see the way that I should choose, but I can't see it is the right way or not now. I'm afraid of it. I wish there was a camera which I can see my future. (laugh)

Q: You always looked at yourself objectively.

HYDE: I can't help it. I'm being myself only when I get drunk. (laugh)

Hiroki: (laugh) In this film, the souls of a man and a woman met by destiny could go further than love, their souls reached at somewhere we can't see… and they grabbed something… I don't know what they got but… I want you to see it. To love someone will be our lifetime activity, and we were born to love someone. To want love and to want someone to love are our natural desire. If you can feel it from the film, I'll be glad.

HYDE: He was such a nice guy so I left her for him but if I saw her again, I won't leave her…? (laugh)

Hiroki: Hahaha! I was thinking about that too! If he lived that time, I couldn't get her back! (laugh)

HYDE: You are happy that he was only a ghost? (laugh)

Hiroki: Yes. I'm happy that he was a ghost! (laugh)
