(Partially translated)
HYDE: I think it is hard to love someone deeply for a long time.
I think it's because Sayaka died so that they've got an endless love. That is the saddest part.
If Sayaka didn't die, they might got another problem such as Adam having an affair
then Sayaka asking for money for divorce. Look at John and Yoko, Sid and Nancy
- if they had lived, they would broke up - that's real life...
HYDE: I understand that if someone died when he/she had been deeply in love,
they would have that sort of feeling. I feel the pureness is sad. It's rare such pure love exist in real life, but I like the movie. I don't believe in ghost, though.
Q: Don't you believe in reincarnation?
HYDE: No, I don't believe it at all.
There are billions of people living on the earth now but much less people were here several
hundreds years ago so there must be someone who doesn't have previous life. If a dog has a soul,
a mouse also has a soul... an ant and bacteria also have souls... so human’s soul may be always
previous human beings’. I want to have my souls after I die and I also want to see someone who has died...
but I sum up like that when I think about life. If it all really exist, it’s wonderful… I want to go to heaven too.
The pureness in the story is real, so I like the movie. I think Adam is the saddest person.
He might have most pureness in his heart. He couldn’t die like other people, maybe because he was too pure.
Anyway, he isn’t like me at all.
HYDE: All actress cried very easily so I was very nervous when shooting that part that I had to cry …
I thought of several sad things but it didn’t work, so I got into my role and thought of Sayaka.
I didn’t want her to die so I repeated “No, no, no, don’t die… ” I had my tears when I repeated that
word 108 times. (laugh) I was so relieved~~. "
HYDE: "The film shoot was started in January, in London. I found it was not difficult
as I could act very natural but it got harder after I came back to Japan. Adam lost Sayaka and he
wasn’t human, so I had to act different way. I got very nervous especially when shooting in the
studio because there were more people watching (working with) me. I felt like ‘oh what should I do~><;'."
HYDE: "I have many memories during the filming but I can remember the temperature of
Japan at most. It was freezing! It was much colder than London! And I remember the scene that I fell down…
I had really nice view from there. I’ve been to London several times but it was the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in London.
The shooting lasted only 2 weeks. I totally enjoyed it."
